Legal basis

Art. 87 of the Federal Labor Law: employees are entitled to a yearly bonus of at least 15 days of salary, payable before December 20. Those who didn't complete the year receive the proportional part.
The calculation base is the ordinary daily wage, not the integrated salary of art. 84 — that one applies to severance indemnities.
The aguinaldo is exempt from income tax up to 30 times the daily UMA (art. 93, section XIV, Income Tax Law); the excess is taxed. Check the current UMA value at INEGI.
